How to appeal to the managing agent of a retail park

This page has template letters to send to the managing agent of the Retail Park where you received your Parking Eye parking charge notice.  It is to be read in junction with the page I have received a parking ticket which explains how to find the name and contact details of the retail park managing agent.

Example 1:

Dear xxx Retail Park,

Re: Parking Eye Parking Charge Notice number xxxxxxxxx

I received the above notice whilst shopping at your retail park.  I am writing to you to ask you to contact Parking Eye on my behalf and ask them to withdraw the notice on the basis that I am a genuine patron of your complex.  I am a regular customer of xxx Retail Park and regularly frequent the following stores xxxx xxx xxxx.  [if you have any receipts, or credit card statements that show you shop there, please add a sentence to that effect here and also attach copies of them to the letter/email].  On this occasion, I have stayed a bit too long and my time expired.

Regards,

xxxxxxxxxx

Example 3:

Dear xxx Retail Park,

Re: Parking Eye Parking Charge Notice number xxxxxxxxx

I received the above notice whilst shopping at your retail park.  I am writing to you to ask you to contact Parking Eye on my behalf and ask them to withdraw the notice on the basis that I am a genuine patron of your complex.  I was a genuine customer of xxx Retail Park on this day and visited the follwoing stores: xxxx xxx xxxx.  [if you have any receipts, or credit card statements that show you shop there, please add a sentence to that effect here and also attach copies of them to the letter/email].  As this was my first time shopping at this retail park, I wasn’t famililar with the parking process and didn’t realise that there were time limits.

Regards,

xxxxxxxxxx
